Do I have to pick up the pool or do you deliver?
Delivery of the birth pool and kit is included in the rental fee for the Comox Valley. Areas outside of Cumberland, Courtenay and Comox would be subject to a delivery fee depending on location. If you live in these areas and want to save on the fee, arrangements to meet me in one of the included areas.
Who cleans the pool?
Each pool and all kit components are cleaned and disinfected in between clients by myself.
Will you show me how to set it up?
I go over all parts and pool set up when I deliver the kit. This typically takes 15-30 min.
What if i go beyond my ‘due date’? am i guaranteed to keep the pool till birth happens?
Absolutely! Your rental period is from 37/38 weeks until your baby arrives. I do ask that you contact me within 24 hours of giving birth, so that I can come pick up the pool, and get it ready for the next family.
Can my partner be in the pool with me?
YES! It can be much easier for your partner to support you when they don’t have to lean over the edge of the pool. Having them in the pool also puts them closer to you, increasing your oxytocin levels.
When should I reserve my pool ?
As soon as you know you would like to have a water birth! I have a limited number of pools I rent out each month, so reserving one early is the best way to guarantee I will have one available for you.
Do you supply everything I need for my water birth?
I do recommend that you purchase two tarps, a small fish net, additional hosing if you need more than 25ft
